About Us
New to New Covenant?
Welcome! If you’re new to New Covenant, we just want you to know that it’s great to have you with us.
New Covenant is full of people from many different backgrounds who are joined together by their love for God and for one another. We work hard at being a loving and caring church community. But we also want our church to be a place where ordinary people can come and meet God. We hope that during your time with us, you will genuinely feel the love of Christ and the presence of God’s Spirit at our church.
Please stop by the Hospitality desk after the service and let us know that you are new here…. we’d love to welcome you in person!

The Covell Family
We have been a part of the Braband LifeTogether group for about three years. Our words cannot express how blessed we have been to be a part of this home group. Not only have our lives been enriched in Christ, we have had the opportunity to build meaningful friendships. There have been times of laughter and joy and other times that some might call absolute craziness!
Our meetings start with a special community time and continue on into biblical discussion and prayer. Through it all, we have been appreciative of the fact that it is a family-friendly group and that our children can come with us and are also able to grow in God and in their own friendships there. It is wonderful that we can be a part of this group as a family and share the experiences together as we grow with our spiritual family.
There is an expression that says "you can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family." We have chosen to be there and we are thankful for others who have also done the same. Now we can say that our circle of friends has grown as our spiritual family too. God blesses us beyond what we could think or imagine. If you arent already, we would encourage you to become a part of a home group. You never know what God has in store for you, but we are confident that it is good because His plans for each of us are good.
I was privileged to go to Hungary and Serbia with the HopeTogether ministry team in September 2008. I worked alongside our team leader, Malcolm Moore, and two other team members, Paul Howell and Shaun Farnand.
On this trip, I provided preventative dental care for disabled children in Szeged, Hungary and adults in Subotica, Serbia. It was an eye-opening experience and very rewarding.
I am planning on returning with Hope Together in May 2009 to perform more in-depth dental treatments such as fillings, cleanings, and even some extractions of teeth (as needed, of course!)
My experience in Hungary & Serbia has reminded me that God cares for every single one of His children, and that He can use me to accomplish His Kingdom purposes in the lives of other people. I am excited to be a part of what God is doing at New Covenant and I cant wait to return to Hungary & Serbia to see
what He has in store for me next!

The vignarie Family
Kidstock has been a wonderful experience for our family. It helps Anthony and Kristen (our children)have a better understanding of Jesus, all while playing and having fun. It also gave Phil (my husband)and I a chance to meet the great people at New Covenant. As many of you know, we have worked the registration desk for Kidstock for a while. What better way to meet other parents? Now, Anthony and Kristen look forward to Wednesdays wondering what they get to learn that day.
We have seen first hand how this program has benefited our children. The social environment for the kids has helped Anthony very much. He has Pervasive Developmental Disorder
which is on the Autistic Spectrum. He can have a hard time associating with other children at times. At Kidstock, the kids are so accepting. We are thankful they dont judge him, because he
may do things differently. In fact they encourage him to be himself. Who could ask for more? This has been such a blessing for us. Kristen, who is in preschool, has had many benefits from this program too. They always play fun games, sing songs, and make crafts. We even find our kids singing songs like Jesus is my Superhero at Wegmans and other places. As a parent, it is wonderful to have our children attend a program where their relationship with Jesus can grow in such an engaging way.
The Kidstock crew is great. They have wonderful ideas every week to keep the kids excited about coming. They are taught with puppets and skits to relate Bible stories to their life.
The lessons that they are learning will have life long value. We are very thankful for Kidstock. It has given so much to our family in many ways. If your kids are not a part of Kidstock, get them involved.! The rewards are endless. Thank you Kidstock for all that you do, and keep up the good work!!!
We have been blessed to be a part of the New Covenant Hospitality Team for many years.
We truly enjoy being part of a ministry team that focuses on making others feel welcome and at home here at New Covenant. We have served in several capacities but we have found that some of our most meaningful experiences happened as we greeted smiling faces coming through the door for Sunday morning services.
Many times, we have had special moments where we were able
to give a welcome, a hug and then a bit of encouragement to people who were going through a tough time in their life. It has also provided an opportunity for us to meet new attenders or express our joy about something great that God has done in the life of a regular attender.
Serving on the hospitality team continues to touch our lives in so many ways. It is a privilege to serve here at New Covenant and we are so excited to be a part of a ministry team that expresses love to everyone who walks into our church on Sunday mornings.
Wallaces LifeTogether Group
Jeannette Bjerstedt
As a Christian, it is especially important for me to stay connected with other believers since I am not from this area and I do not have any family that lives here. Belonging to a church is a priority for me, but I have found that it is difficult to get to know others just on Sunday morning. I have been involved on the worship team for several years and have special friendships there but I wanted to reach out to meet other people that attend our church. That is why I joined a LifeTogether Group.
For me, being a part of the Wallaces LifeTogether Group has had a lot of benefits. Jim & Marti Wallace are very supportive and Im happy to call them my friends. Our small group supports each
other in encouragement and prayer, and we have weekly discussions on subjects like: What is God doing all over the
world as well as in our backyards? Sometimes we even have on-the-spot Bible studies! Everyone brings something to share, whether it is a Scripture, an observation or question about scripture, a life experience or an insight (not to mention some great treats).
Each week I am encouraged, challenged and enlightened --I leave enriched and I really enjoy the opportunity to share life together with the people in my group.

After nearly 10 years of learning to play the electric guitar, I completely stopped in 1973 to focus on attending college. I sold my instrument and amplifier and thought I would never play again. But after 20 years, I decided to purchase a high-quality acoustic guitar. I never thought I'd be playing in front of a church congregation but God had different plans! Within weeks, I was doing just that!
I have had continued opportunities to find confidence as a musician here at New Covenant. Once, a team member was unable to play for an extended period so I filled in with my electric guitar (for the first time since 1973) and the mandolin for the first time publicly! I was the victim of recurring attacks of stage fright that would produce severe cramps in my hand minutes before the Sunday service was about to begin. Thankfully, prayer and encouragement from other team members caused me to focus on God and enjoy myself.
I have taken lessons on multiple instruments and played in several bands. Being in ministry is fun! Especially when I know I am doing what God asks of me. As He has done for me, I pray you will continue to find the talents He has in you. My deepest desire is that each of us will continue to use our talents to worship Him with all our hearts.
Mark Hill
Hello, my name is Mark Hill and I attended the last 13 weeks of DivorceCare because in April of 2009 my marriage of over 35 years came to an abrupt end and it changed my life drastically.
Nothing could prepare me for the pain that I would experience in the months that followed my separation. I needed to trust in Gods ability to give me the strength to get through this trauma in my life. I needed insight and help with the support of others who were experiencing the same thing I was.
I happened to read about the DivorceCare group at New Covenant through a Good News WNY email advertisement. I decided to go and found it was just what I needed. The leaders of the group and the other attenders were a constant source of encouragement and compassion during my struggles. Through DivorceCare I started the process of healing that I desperately needed.
As the last session ended, I saw the positive changes that God brought to me through this group of people who were willing to share their love, encouragement and friendship.
I am thankful that Divorce Care was there when I needed it!
New Covenant has a long history of providing prayer and financial support for people who go on short or long term mission trips. We currently support five long term missionaries on a monthly basis.
Three of the missionaries that we support are members of our congregation.
Tim and Barb Kelly are serving in Tanzania, Kigoma, Africa feeding needy children and helping local people in business as they share the Gospel.
Rick and Sharon Labouef serve in Ecuador. They use their airplane to reach people in remote areas that have never heard the Gospel.
Alex Manzewitsch is serving in Argentina. He was raised by the Guarani Indians and learned their language and customs. As a result, he has been able to communicate the Gospel to them.
Mike and Janet Mcmahon have a business teaching English in China. They have been able to touch lives by educating and hiring many indigenous Chinese to work with them.
Ken and Gretchen Patullo are a part of YWAM in Texas and provide training to others who want to become missionaries by escorting them on short term trips.
